My journey began when I became quite unwell as a teenager. I was underweight and sick all the time. I had headaches and stomach upsets constantly.

This only continued to get worse, and it wasn’t until my mid-20s that I was finally diagnosed with coeliac disease.

Changing my diet literally changed my life. It changed how my body was able to function and operate. It changed my capacity for what I could do in a day. After learning to be gluten-free for several months, I felt a world away from where I had been.

This is what stimulated my interest in nutritional medicine and inspired me to begin studying in this area.

However, I didn’t yet understand the extent of inflammation and disruption that had occurred in my gut from having the undiagnosed coeliac disease for so long (and unprocessed trauma - but this came later). So, my gut healing journey began.

I used herbs, supplements, gut-healing powders, nutritional therapeutics, acupuncture, massage - all kinds of things. I was very fit and healthy. And yet, I still didn’t feel well.

I found myself in the space of, “I’m doing all the right things and not getting results, where do I go next?”

Eventually, I began my mental, emotional, and energetic healing journey, along with developing my skills in this area. This is where things started to really shift.

In more recent years, I found teachers who could help me release trauma (unprocessed sensations) stuck in my cells which had been creating emotional patterns through which I was living my life. Patterns through which my physical symptoms were originating.

All my people-pleasing, ‘yes girl’, pushing, controlling, forcing, resistance, and fear-based patterns started to come to the surface and out through my body. Tension, anxiety, depression, bloating, headaches, fatigue, back pain, menstrual disturbances, and other physical symptoms started to leave along with them.

This leg of the journey inspired me to learn life coaching and somatic movement practices so that I could offer a complete solution to my clients.

It’s through the combination of giving our body the nutrition it needs physically, emotionally, mentally, environmentally, spiritually and energetically that we see long-lasting results.

We become lighter, happier, and more resilient to life’s challenges. 
Adrenaline and cortisol stop pumping through our bloodstream like an overflowing river. 
The nervous system comes into balance and responds with openness instead of fear. 
Bodily tension starts to ease and diminish, replaced with a renewed sense of energy and vitality.

The body responds quickly and effectively to nutritional medicine and physical treatments.

We also have the tools to help us through the tough and stressful times that inevitably come and go (and I needed all these tools in the first year of motherhood).

We can either alternate between feeling healthy and unhealthy, or we can get to the root cause and create a lifestyle that supports our most radiant health.
